About Mike

After graduating cum laude from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst as a psychology major, Mike attended law school at Boston University where he graduated with honors receiving the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in the Study of Constitutional Law. Following law school, Mike worked as an attorney in a large law firm in addition to subsequent positions in litigation management and professional law firm marketing. In 2019, he received his Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Wright Institute in Berkeley, California with a GPA of 3.74. Mike is a member of the American Psychological Association in addition to The State Bar of California. Mike has maintained a regular meditation practice since the early 1990s. Mike recently completed a six-month training program in Buddhist Psychology through Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Marin County, California. In 2016, he completed a year-long, 300-hour Mindfulness in Law Teacher Training program. In 2017, Mike published a book called Mindfulness in Law that is available for free download from Apple’s iBook store. Mike’s rate for individual psychotherapy within California and professional coaching outside of California is $175.00/50-minute session. His rate for couples counseling is $200.00/50-minute session.
